The labyrinth takes place in our mind and can only be decoded within our perception. This key does not exist in a unique form, it differs and unites from person to person.

Medial sources can create a labyrinth, where an objective and neutral viewpoint is rare and hard to be discovered. How can individuals perceive knowledge without being influenced or getting lost on their way. We live in bubbles of our chosen medial knowledge input and social interactions. Depending on these sources we receive and are willing to listen to, we form our own opinions and ideas. Beeing Daidalos tries to burst these bubbles and aims to broaden our horizon to different perspectives.

Being Daidalos is an interactive installation, created around the headset tool called Emotiv. With proper coverage and electrode configuration, it is possible to reconstruct a source model of all important brain regions and to see their interplay. Offering access to advanced brain monitoring and cognitive assessment technologies, Emotiv has a developed system for users to train direct mental commands. The user trains the system to recognize thought patterns related to different desired outcomes, such as moving objects or making them disappear.
