Do The Gehry

How does perception and perspective shape our vision and understanding of space? How can we break through this?

Collage from Gehry’s Vitra Museum in Weil am Rhein.
Frank Gehry can be described as a polarizing architect to most people who experience his buildings. His design process suggests the combination of effortless shapes and arbitrary geometries, mixed with a complex construction concept. The play with 2D and 3D perspectives can both amuse and disturb the viewer, thus creating a different perception of its perspective. Inspired from this visual paradox of Gehry’s architecture, Do The Gehry, an interactive installation piece was created. Are we biased in our visual perception of space and is there a way to actively experience a change in our perspective?
